Heritage Creek is a home rule city located in Jefferson County Kentucky. The city was incorporated by the state legislature as "Minor Lane Heights" on November 30th, 1960. With expansion planned for Louisville International Airport to the north, the city was renamed in 2008 and moved from its location north of South Park View to a new location 5 miles to the southeast. Hundreds of residents from the Minor Lane Heights neighborhood, among others affected by airport expansion and elevated noise levels, made Heritage Creek their new home.
The City of Heritage Creek is located off scenic Cedar Creek Road in the south end of Jefferson County. The city currently has over 470 households and several active expansion projects.
The city is overseen by a Mayor and six Council Members.
